Giancarlo Alci began his artistic education by attending the Andrea Fantoni Art Institute in Bergamo.
Subsequently, he enrolled at LABA in Brescia to obtain his first level diploma in Industrial Design and subsequently his second level diploma in Product Design and Innovation.
During his university years, he worked with a kitchenware company as an industrial designer.

After graduating from university, he worked as an industrial designer at a household appliances and medical products company: at this stage he completed numerous projects for different international brands.
After two years, he changed working field as he began a new experience in a lighting company, entering as a designer and subsequently becoming responsible for the technical and creative area of the company.
360-degree management allowed him to experience first-hand how to work with numerous production technologies and materials, greatly evolving his technical-professional knowledge also in the management of business processes.

He currently holds the role of Art Director for two lighting companies, Lombardo and CINI&NILS, where his main tasks include strategic research, design of new product concepts and supervision of the entire brand image.

He strongly believes in research and perseverance to always design at best, and he's always looking for new motivation for personal and professional growth.
